The most exciting days are the ones that the framing takes place and you can see the rooms forming. I also take a picture of our view from our new bedroom window. What do you think? Can you figure out the rooms???

FRAMING!!!
The most exciting days are the ones that the framing takes place and you can see the rooms forming. I also take a picture of our view from our new bedroom window. What do you think? Can you figure out the rooms???
Burying the electricity
I know that it has been a few days - Let's see - where are we at.... I remember now. Gus really wanted to bury the electricity to the garage. So he decided to dig through the foundation on both the house and the garage. This was a HUGE job that seemed like it would not take that much time - after a long hard day in the son Gus had a hole to show on both sides. Gus has now figured out that cutting through cement is not that easy.

We Have WALLS!
The first walls that Jeff and his crew built where the outside walls. The first wall to go up was the one that faced Jerry and Susan's house (the south wall) Then they went clockwise and did the one facing the garage and then all around. These walls get really heavy with the sheeting on and everything. The west wall is the biggest wall and I think there were 5 to 6 men that lifted it up! It was a really fun day for us to see the walls. I forgot to mention that we have been having a ton of visitors - which we love. And one of the visitors is our neighbor's granddaughter Annie. One of the pictures is Gus and Annie.
SEWER TIME!
Because we are digging deeper we needed to drop our sewer line. John Bailey was the man for the job. We felt very very very lucky because we did not have to dig up the street and we only had a foot extra of clearance to make the drop that we needed to. It was very interesting to watch him dig, he did it on a Saturday so we went to the temple to work. When we came home you should of seen the treasures John found, an old septic tank, several old pots , the prettiest rocks and the most surprising - and old tractor tire! I am still looking for Butch Cassidy's buried treasure! (Hanna came down and we took an exploring tour to see what we could find and also to get some rocks for my mother - she collects rocks)
The Floor!
After all the cement more wood came and the floor supports went in plus the subfloor. When Jeff was building the subfloor - we had a conversation about how fun it would be to have the floor so you could walk on it. He said, "Yes, and you can have starlight dances." Gus and I took him up on it and danced in the stars. It was a fun memory!
