Ripping out the Old Floor!

Bradley came to visit us! As everyone knows Gus and Bradley make a great team when it is a hard job. So Bradley coming has been a great blessing for when we needed to rip out the old outside wall and the floor. Here is pictures of the team work that Gus and Bradley did. (Also our friend RT came over for the wall coming down) Thanks Brad for coming to visit!

Driveway

We have never had a driveway in our married life and now we do!

Windows

The windows came and got put in within 2 days!

The roof is still not on - but it's GREEN!

So Jeff came to us and informed us that we could do a metal roof for about the same money as shingles. We thought about it and realized that in the long run the metal roof would be the best choice because of the snow we get here. So GREEN it is!

Sheeting the Roof

So the weather is getting bad only because we do not have the roof on. My big hope is that we can at least get the sheeting done before the snow and ice comes! (I know that it is still Sept - but we do live in Fountain Green)

The Porch

Every person that stops by says, "I love your new porch!" and we do too. I love how the roof ties together and makes a beautiful new porch! Once we get the roof put together then we will be able to pour the cement to make the porch - What do you think?

The side of the house came down.

Right before the trusses came and were placed. The outside wall of the house needed to come down so that we could connect the old house to the new house. Our friend Kari Arnoldsen came over one night to help us tear it down. Her family is building a log cabin and wanted some of the old wood from the side of our house.
